1 killed 4 wounded in early morning Paterson shooting

A city man was killed and four others were wounded in a shooting on North Main Street early Thursday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police said the victims are all Paterson men ages 19, 26, 22, 21, and 25. They were shot on North Main and Jefferson streets at around 12:14 a.m.

Police rushed the victims to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The 25-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and dead at the hospital. The other four victims are in stable condition, authorities said.

Authorities ask anyone with information to call Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
