Passaic City man wounded in Paterson shooting, police say

A Passaic City man was wounded in a shooting in Paterson early Friday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 29-year-old, was struck by gunfire in the area of East 28th Street and Broadway in Paterson at around 2:19 a.m.

Police could not locate a victim when they responded to report of a shooting in the area. Police were then advised the victim had arrived at Saint Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic City seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
