Man living in Paterson car garage uploaded child porn to cloud, says sheriff

Stephen-Lugo

A city man living in a car garage on Albion Avenue uploaded images of child pornography to the cloud, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

Stephen Lugo, 42-year-old, has been charged with six counts of maintaining child pornography and a single count of resisting arrest.

After learning about several image files of child sexual abuse being stored in an online cloud account, Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crime Against Children Task Force began to investigate. Authorities raided Lugo’s garage after a nine-month long investigation on Thursday.

Detectives identified Lugo as the individual responsible for uploading the images to the cloud, authorities said. Authorities seized several electronic devices during the raid at the garage. Devices will be forensically examined for evidence, authorities said.

Lugo is being held at the Passaic County Jail.

When did car garages become living space? Paterson needs to do better to inspect uninhabitable places. If they did that this man would have been caught long ago.

People are using garages as living spaces because they can't afford rhe high rents.some older people I know only get 6-$700 suicidal security. Not even enough to rent a room. You should thank God every single day because you are blessed to afford an apartment or house. But so were many others. In the blink of an eye, you could very well end up homeless.
