newark-federal-court

A member of the street gang 230 Boys admitted to conspiring to distribute fentanyl, according to U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito’s Office.

Keith Brinkley, known on the street as “K Murder,” 30, of Paterson, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute fentanyl and knowingly and intentionally distributing fentanyl.

Brinkley and other gang members conspired to distribute heroin and fentanyl from September 2018 through October 2019. Authorities pieced together the gang’s activities by conducting controlled buys of drugs, recording phone calls, text messages, conducting surveillance, and analyzing phone call records.

230 Boys operate out of the area around Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue. State and federal authorities have hit the gang hard over the past 12 months.

21-year-old Tyson Jacobs, a member of the 230 Boys, pleaded guilty to federal charges in July. 17 members of the gang, including Jacobs and Brinkley, were charged by state authorities in 2019.

The sentence should’ve been forcing him to sniff a Scarface line of fentanyl.
