A city man has died after a car collision on 9^th Avenue late Sunday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Gustavo Marte, 58, died at the scene.

Marte was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger at the intersection of 9^th Avenue and East 26^th Street.

22-year-old Asanti Cugliari of Wayne was driving a 2013 Hyundai Genesis.

Both vehicles collided at the intersection at around 9:55 p.m., authorities said.

Cugliari remained at the scene and produced a valid driver’s license.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision, authorities said.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
