An alleged drug dealer and his lookout man were arrested in a bust on Sherman Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Ismael Leon, 18, and Anthony Hernandez, 18, both of Paterson, were arrested and charged with 12 drug offenses each.

Police set up surveillance outside 52 Sherman Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. after getting complaints of drug dealing in the area.

Leon and Hernandez were seen walking to the side of 62 Sherman Avenue to retrieve drugs. Police saw Leon hand the drugs to an unidentified person for cash as Hernandez served as lookout, watching for police.

Both suspects hid drugs on the side of 62 Sherman Avenue, police said.

Police arrested both men after observing their activities.

Police seized 91 glassine envelopes of heroin, 59 grams of marijuana, and 17 vials of crack cocaine from the side of the property.

Police took $275 in suspected drug proceeds from Leon.

Both suspects were taken to police headquarters for processing.

Let me find out some drug dealer is hiding drugs by my house instead of his own damn house. He will beg police to take him.
