A motor vehicle stop on Temple Street yielded 3,200 glassine envelopes of heroin on Tuesday morning, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.

Terrell Williams, 28-year-old, of Paterson, was driving the vehicle on Temple and North 6th streets at around 8:15 a.m. when he was pulled over.

Williams had a large amount of cash and Western Union receipts in his possession, authorities said. A black plastic bag containing a large quantity of suspected heroin was observed in his possession.

Williams did not linger at the scene. He ran on foot, eluding officers. He was last seen running into the backyard of 65 North 6th Street.

Authorities seized 32 bricks that amounted to 3,200 glassine envelopes of heroin and 2 bags of marijuana.

Williams was charged with drug offenses, obstruction, and eluding.

Williams was out of jail on parole under supervised release.
