Paterson man struck by gunfire while driving car on East 23rd Street, crashes into parked vehicles

A city man was struck by gunfire while driving on East 23rd Street early Thursday evening, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 23-year-old, was driving on East 23rd Street and 14th Avenue at around 7:50 p.m., when an unknown assailant fired shots into his vehicle. The victim sped away, but crashed into multiple vehicles before coming to a stop in front of School 13.

He sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. Police rushed him to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

The victim is the seventh person shot in Paterson since Sunday.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

    everything will be ok paterson will have luxury apartments thanks to the tax abatements and the rich are coming to lift paterson up. Sad
