Six people were arrested and several hundred bags of heroin were seized in a drug bust on Summer Street, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.
Rashawn Taylor, 33, of Paterson; Rashane Lewis, 22, of Paterson; a 17-year-old Paterson boy; a 16-year-old Paterson boy; Quadier Alston, 29, of Paterson; and Jamel Bethea, 31, of Teaneck, were charged with various drug offenses during the bust at 239 Summer Street at around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Taylor was charged with four drug offenses. Lewis was charged with eight drug offenses. The two boys were charged with four drug offenses each. Alston was charged with eight drug offenses. And Bethea was charged with marijuana possession.
Police recovered 283 glassine envelopes of heroin, 38 baggies of crack cocaine, 4 bags of marijuana, and $1,293 in suspected drug proceeds.
