Pennsylvania man, Paterson woman hurt in Carroll Street shooting

A man from Pennsylvania and a woman from Paterson were wounded in a shooting on Carroll Street on Wednesday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victims – 39-year-old man from Kingston, Penn. and a 60-year-old woman from Paterson – were struck by gunfire at around 9 a.m. on Carroll and Governor streets. Both suffered non-fatal injuries and were rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities said the man is in critical condition.

The incident is the second shooting in Paterson in under 14 hours. On Tuesday night, two men, 32-year-old and 19-year-old, were wounded in a shooting on Paterson Avenue and Liberty Street.

The shootings remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

    well….my point exactly….it seams bad cops shots someone you burn down city, loot and riot….there is weekly killing in Paterson (not to mention other part of the country) where your people kill your own (not to mention innocent kids and old folks) people and you are not concerned about that because it does not serve your political purpose. I refuse to believe you are so misguided and you don't agree with me. base don the way you write, you spend more time in school then corner which is commendable. No matter how you like to spin it…..ratio on black on black killing is far higher then any (justified or unjustified) shooting from a law enforcement. Any killing needs to be treated same….what your "movement" is doing is giving current president 4 more years and alienating those who are supporting equality ( yours truly included) . My personal views are changing to where 1 year ago i was about to challenge anyone who was thinking as i think now. and that is sad…with that being said. good night brother.         Double check the figures but 2019,I believe 9 black men, and 19 white/other race killed by police. And then go check how many police were killed and by what race/s.

      You have valid points but, the best way to kill a weed is by its roots. I feel as though Rap music is a source to bloodshed amongst the so-called Blacks/Latinos (ex:)Maxine Waters tried to ban it and failed miserably against the record labels due to freedom of speech rights. Rap is the ONLY genre of music where it’s “allowed” and deemed COOL to perpetuate genocide through drugs/violence. Blame the likes of Jerry Heller, Lyor Cohen, Jimmy Iovine…

Who are they going to call when their mates beat them up,or try to shoot them?oh yeah.Social workers.
