Three people were arrested in two separate drug busts on Monday, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Jefferson Dotel-Reyes, 28; Jose Mercedes, 31; and Andres Vazquez, 39, all of Paterson, were arrested and charged with various drug offenses.

Dotel-Reyes and Mercedes were each charged with four drug possession and distribution offenses.

Police arrested them at around 8:03 p.m. in the area of Market Street and 20th Avenue with 46 Percocet pills. Police seized $235 cash from Dotel-Reyes and another $149 from Mercedes.

Vazquez was arrested and charged with eight drug offenses in the area of Park Avenue and Carroll Street at around 8:26 p.m. He allegedly had 1 marijuana jar, 2 pre-rolled marijuana cigars, and 1 bottle of Promethazine.

Police seized $611 in suspected drug proceeds from Vazquez.

Sad! Keep making these nickel and dime arrests. Clog the courts (and media) with this costly nonsense and keep trying to fool the public into thinking these loser cops are doing anything meaningful in their “war” on drugs. Meanwhile, everyone in town knows who the bigwigs are, what they drive and the streets they control.
    Just stop it already.

Ha! Lot of little gangster kings and bloods in the ranks. That’s why the drug trade controls the economy in Paterson. The cops will make sure it stays that way.

Deport them all. Even if.they became citizens.

  • John

Why only 3? Drug up one block and within 5 seconds you see over 3 drug dealers

We need Rodrigo Duterte as Mayor of Paterson he is the only one who can clean things up
