Two men from Prospect Park and Passaic City hurt in Paterson shooting

A man from Prospect Park and another from Passaic City were wounded in a shooting in Paterson late Wednesday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victims, 23-year-old Passaic City resident and 36-year-old Prospect Park resident, were struck by gunfire in the area of Godwin Avenue and Auburn Street at around 10:02 p.m.

Police located the Passaic City man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the area of 12th Avenue and Auburn Street. He was rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Police were advised a second victim, the 36-year-old Prospect Park man, had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

Both men suffered non-fatal gunshot injuries, authorities said.

Authorities continue to investigate the double shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

      No doubt it must of been awkward especially if they were shooting at each other. I'd be interested in knowing if the bullets they removed from the 2 "victims" come from the same gun or if they come from 2 different guns because if they come from 2 different guns then they have some explaining to do.
