A city man was wounded in a shooting in the area of Belle Avenue on Thursday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 27-year-old, arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. His injuries are not fatal, authorities said.

Police believe the victim was injured on Belle Avenue and Hopper Street, the border of Paterson and Prospect Park, at around 8:57 p.m.

Police from Paterson and Prospect Park responded to the incident.
