Bergenfield man shot and robbed of phone, wallet in Paterson

A man from Bergenfield was wounded in a shooting in the area of Elizabeth and Main streets early Sunday morning.

The victim, 48-year-old, was shot at around 3:53 a.m. Police said the unknown suspect took the victim’s wallet and phone after shooting him.

Police said the victim arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. His injuries are not fatal.

Yesterday, a 22-year-old Paterson man was shot a block away on Main and Hemlock streets.

Both shootings remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

    More than likely was a setup originating from Hi Beams strip club (Getty/Elizabeth). Either a stripper tipped off her pimp/bf of a gangster on a target; or he was just too flashy while someone patiently waited until he left then got the drop.
