31-year-old woman killed in Paterson shooting was eight-month pregnant, authorities say

A woman killed in a shooting on Thursday afternoon was eight months pregnant, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 31-year-old, was shot multiple times at 5 Christina Place at around 1:37 p.m.

Authorities did not reveal her name but identified her as “R.L.”

She was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for emergency treatment. At the hospital, she delivered her child, but succumbed to her wounds and was pronounced dead soon after delivering the child, authorities said.

The baby is healthy and in stable condition, authorities said.

The shooter, said to be her boyfriend (unverified( must get the death penalty. If he is capable of killing his own child, he should be killed. Yes, the baby survived, but he could easily have died with the mother.
