Paterson man wounded in 17th Avenue shooting


A city man was injured in a shooting on 17th Avenue late Tuesday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 22-year-old, was shot at around 4:47 p.m. on 17th Avenue and East 28th Street. He arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for multiple gunshot wounds.

Authorities said the victim’s injuries are not fatal.

Police continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
