A city man was wounded in a shooting on Lawrence Street early Monday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 18-year-old, was struck by gunfire at Lawrence and Mercer streets at around 1 p.m. He suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound, police said.

The victim was rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment, authorities said. He is the fifth person shot in Paterson in separate shootings since Friday.
