Paterson woman killed in Van Houten Street shooting

A city woman was killed in a shooting on Van Houten Street on Wednesday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police found Diane Jackson, 58-year-old, outside 297 Van Houten Street lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds at around 9:22 p.m.

Jackson had died from her wounds at the scene. Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Detective Bureau at 973-321-1120.

Maybe today after the thanksgiving break we will receive a call from our Mayor addressing this . When there is a shooting there should be a concern on everyone part , this should not happen , a woman is killed I don’t care what she was doing her live matter and a discussion is warranted.
Don’t call us telling us about park rejuvenation, let have a serious conversation about gun violence,
All the churches , the clergy there should and must be a conversation.
What are we waiting for, we are waiting for when our young kids are walking to school shot will fire and our kids are killed . Because these shooters don’t seem to have any regards

Ms Jackson live matter but today her family may be planning her funeral.
We are so tired of hearing our hearts and prayers goes out to the family
Let work to fix this .

  The only solution is unconstitutional. Road blocks, check points, stop and frisks which worked elsewhere. The problem is the cops cant tell who is a hood and who is worker and innocent people get roughed up
