The police arrested an alleged drug dealer in possession of an assortment of drugs, including more than 900 glassine envelopes of heroin, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Davon S. Forbes, 38, of Paterson, has been charged with nine drug offenses. Police observed him standing outside of Emily’s Mini Market at 466 Broadway and engage in two hand-to-hand drug sales at around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday.

Forbes was placed under arrest. He allegedly had 924 glassine envelopes of heroin, 152 vials of crack cocaine, and 93 vials of MDMA.

Police confiscated $731 cash from Forbes.

Police missed the alleged buyers due to “manpower constraints.”

Dealing there is like saying to the cops, “Arrest me now, please.” I guess that’s why they call it dope.

Well Paterson has been flooded with people from NYC, Newark and Irvington. They’re under the impression that everything goes in paterson also.

It pretty much does and has for years and years. Around ‘03 – ‘04, I think the The Record published a pretty thorough report pinpointing areas of high drug activity. There was an obligatory crackdown. But after that all went back to the normal, open air dealing you see now.
