Paterson man ran drug production facility, used three boys to further scheme, police say

The police raided a drug production facility on Wednesday afternoon, arresting three boys and a man, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

John Brown, 22, of Paterson; 16-year-old Paterson boy; 17-year-old Paterson boy; and a 16-year-old East Orange boy, were charged with various drug offenses.

Brown has been charged with 10 drug offenses, including maintaining a drug production facility at 218 17th Avenue and employing juveniles during a drug scheme. He was allegedly using the boys to further his drug operation.

Brown was also charged with two weapons offenses. He allegedly had a Sig Sauer P226 9mm handgun.

The three boys were each charged with five drug offenses, police said.

Police seized 160 glassine envelopes of heroin, 1 sandwich bag of MDMA, 8 vials and 1 plastic bag of crack cocaine, and 1 bag of marijuana.

Police also confiscated a scale, packaging material, stamps, and ink pads, items that are used package drugs for street distribution.

Police seized $676 cash from Brown.
