Four people injured in Paterson crash, authorities say

Passaic-County-Prosecutor

Four people were injured in a car crash at the intersection of 17th Avenue and McLean Boulevard early Wednesday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

A 20-year-old Paterson man was operating a 2019 Kia Forte that collided head on with a 2016 Honda Accord that was being operated by a 63-year-old Fair Lawn man at around 4:51 a.m. Both men, as well as a 22-year-old Paterson man who was a passenger in the Kia Forte, were taken to Saint Joseph’s University Hospital for treatment for serious bodily injuries, authorities said.

A 57-year-old Hawthorne woman operating a 2010 Ford Escape collided with the Honda Accord and then struck the guardrail, authorities said. The woman was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. She was later released.

No charges have been filed. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
