A city man has been indicted for allegedly sexually abusing a child, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Julio Largo-Veletanga, 64-year-old, allegedly sexually abused a 10-year-old child at a residence in Paterson from February 1, 2020 through May 17, 2020.

Authorities said a grand jury indicted him on first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree degree attempted aggravated sexual assault, three counts of sexual assault, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and hindering apprehension.

Largo-Veletanga is being held at the Passaic County Jail pending resolution of the matter. He could face life behind bars if convicted on the charges.
