3 people injured in Paterson shooting


Three men were wounded in a shooting on Thursday evening, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victims, 28, 29, and 26, were struck by gunfire on 17th Avenue and East 21st Street at around 7:56 p.m.

Police arrived at the scene after getting report of a shooting. They located the 28-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. He was taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.

The other two victims arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. All three victims sustained non-fatal injuries.

Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
