Municipal officials opened up the application process on Monday to give residents $400 per month as part of the city’s Guaranteed Income Pilot Program.
Applicants must be residents of Paterson age 18 or over making $30,000 or less for individuals and $88,000 or less for families.
110 applicants will be picked through a lottery conducted by the Center for Guaranteed Income at the University of Pennsylvania. Each winner will receive $400 per month for 12 months in the form of a rechargeable debit card.
