Paterson man hurt in Friday afternoon shooting


A city man was wounded in a shooting on 10th Avenue late Friday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 21-year-old, sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. He was struck by gunfire in the area of 10th Avenue and East 28th Street at around 4:57 p.m.

He took refuge inside a business at the intersection until he was taken to the Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
