Five people were wounded in a shooting on East 30th Street late Thursday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The victims, 27, 22, 23, 23, and 26, all residents of Paterson, were in the area of East 30th Street and 22nd Avenue at around 5:20 p.m. when they were shot.
Police said the five men arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not fatal.
Less than an hour before, two women were shot on Park Avenue and Carroll Street. In all seven people were shot on Thursday.
