Five people wounded in Paterson shooting

Five people were wounded in a shooting on East 30^th Street late Thursday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victims, 27, 22, 23, 23, and 26, all residents of Paterson, were in the area of East 30^th Street and 22^nd Avenue at around 5:20 p.m. when they were shot.

Police said the five men arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not fatal.

Less than an hour before, two women were shot on Park Avenue and Carroll Street. In all seven people were shot on Thursday.

Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

They are so brazen now, they dont even wait till night fall. You can tell these gangbangers dont know how to handle a gun , they just spray and pray. Again of it was any of my military friends there would be 5 dead instead of 5 wounded
