The police were called to a stabbing incident on North 6^th Street on Saturday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police located two victims – 7-year-old and 17-year-old – inside 96 North 6^th Street at around 7:04 a.m.

Authorities said the 7-year-old was unresponsive.

Both were immediately taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

7-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 17-year-old was treated and released a short time later.

Authorities did not disclose what led to the stabbing or if anyone was arrested.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, authorities said.
