A city man was wounded in a broad daylight shooting on Madison Street on Sunday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The victim, 48-year-old, was struck by gunfire on Madison and Essex streets at around 1 p.m. Police arrived at the scene in response to a shooting and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound sitting inside a residence.
The victim was taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Police located a crime scene on the first-floor hallway of the residence.
