Paterson man hurt in afternoon drive-by shooting on 20th Avenue

A city man was wounded in a drive-by shooting on 20th Avenue on Sunday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 20-year-old, was walking on 20th Avenue and Gray Street at around 3:34 p.m. when an unknown suspect fired gunshots from a passing vehicle, authorities said.

Police said the victim arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
