Delbin-NoesiGonzalez

A judge ordered the detention of a man accused of running a child pornography distribution network using Facebook Messenger, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Delbin Noesi Gonzalez, 39, of Paterson, has been charged with leader of a child pornography network, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, storing or maintaining child pornography on a file-sharing program. He was arrested on July 15 by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Gonzalez appeared before a Passaic County judge on Tuesday for a detention hearing. Prosecutors moved to keep him in jail until his case is resolved. The judge ordered him detained.

Gonzalez was allegedly distributing images and videos of child pornography to others using Facebook Messenger. Images and videos recovered by law enforcement depicted nude children as young as few months to 14 years old engaging in sex acts.

Gonzalez could face decades in prison if convicted and be required to register as a sex offender.
