A man and a woman were charged with endangering the welfare of three children for allegedly dealing crack cocaine from their Van Houten Street apartment, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Tymir L. Leary, 32, and Yasmine B. York, 30, both of Paterson, were each charged with five drug offenses and endangering the welfare of a child.

Leary and York were allegedly dealing drugs out of apartment 210 at 13 ½ Van Houten Street. Police raided the apartment on Monday after conducting a month-long investigation into drug dealing from the apartment.

Police seized 6 grams of crack cocaine and $884 cash. Police said two of the children were Leary and York’s while the third child was York’s.

Leary and York were taken to the police headquarters for processing.

That money was probably the only way they were able to feed, clothe and shelter those kids.
