Three Paterson residents wounded in 11th Avenue shooting

Three men were wounded in a shooting on 11th Avenue late Saturday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victims – 20, 25, and 27, all of Paterson – were struck by gunfire at around 11:58 p.m. on 11th Avenue and East 35th Street.

Police found the 20-year-old victim at the scene and he was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. He sustained multiple gunshot injuries.

Soon thereafter, police were notified the other victims, 25 and 27, arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot injuries.

The latest incident brings the total number of people shot in Paterson on Saturday to seven, including one fatally.

Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
