A city woman was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Straight Street on Wednesday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Susie Maluya, 56-year-old, was crossing the street at the intersection of Straight and Park avenues at around 8 p.m. when she was struck by a 2013 Honda Accord.

Authorities said the vehicle was operated by Roy Patterson, 24-year-old, of Hackensack. He remained at the scene and presented a valid driver’s license.

Medics rushed Maluya to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
