The police arrested four people in a drug operation on Park Avenue that yielded a high-powered weapon and an assortment of drugs, according to public safety director Jerry Speziale.

Police arrested Ja’sim Zimmon, Enndy Trujillo, Jermaine Scott, and Shukri Coleman during the operation on Tuesday.

Coleman was allegedly seen conducting a drug sale with Zimmon on Park Avenue and East 19th Street. Police conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested Zimmon. They seized a Glock 43 9mm handgun that was loaded with six rounds. Zimmon also had 10 glassine envelopes of heroin, police said.

Police conducted another motor vehicle stop on Ellison Street and Memorial Drive. They arrested Trujillo. Trujillo allegedly had one bag of what was later found to be psilocybin mushrooms.

Coleman was later arrested by police for selling heroin to Zimmon. He had 38 bags of marijuana.

Police then conducted a third motor vehicle stop. Scott was arrested. He had a black pill bottle in a block sock that contained heroin, crack cocaine, and MDMA.

Police seized 7 bags of crack cocaine, 24 glassine envelopes of heroin, 5.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 6.6 grams of MDMA, and $1,200 cash during the operation.
