A man allegedly shot a man and threatened to kill a woman on Rosa Parks Boulevard on Friday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Calvin Holmes, 34, of Paterson, has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain persons not to have weapons, and terroristic threats.
Authorities said Holmes allegedly shot a 27-year-old Paterson man after a verbal dispute on Rosa Parks Boulevard on 12th Avenue. He also allegedly threatened to kill a 27-year-old Paterson woman, authorities said.
Police said the man sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. Police identified Holmes as the alleged shooter. He was arrested on Friday at 8 p.m. on North York and Sparrow streets.
Holmes could face decades in prison if convicted on the charges.
