A city man has been arrested for allegedly abusing a child while he was a minor, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities arrested the 26-year-old on Tuesday. He has been charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

When he was a minor, he sexually abused the victim “on multiple occasions at a residence in Paterson.” The victim, now 17-year-old, reported the incident on December 23, 2021.

The man is charged as a juvenile because the alleged crimes happened when he was under age. His name was not made public as a result. He was released on electronic monitoring bracelet pending court appearance.
