1 dead, 1 injured in Paterson shooting on Park Avenue

A man was killed and another left injured in a shooting in Paterson early Sunday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police said a 21-year-old man died and a 25-year-old man is in stable condition. They said the shooting happened on Park Avenue and Carroll Street at around 2:17 a.m.

Police found the 21-year-old victim at the scene. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police had him rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said the second victim was also taken the hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Paterson Police Detective Bureau at 973-321-1120.

    Criminals know it’s nearly impossible to get a gun permit in Paterson so unless you’re a cop or a criminal you’re not supposed to be in the street after dark cause criminal know you ain’t got nothing and they will shoot at you.

    Meanwhile it is hot out and the mayor closed the lou costello pool to only fri and sat. What about the restaurant workers whose only days off are mon and tues?
