Two Paterson men wounded in Maryland Avenue shooting


Two city men were wounded in a shooting on Maryland Avenue on Saturday afternoon, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victims, 41 and 38, arrived at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds at around 3:25 p.m., police said.

Police said the shooting took place when both victims were in a vehicle on Maryland Avenue and Route 80. They said they found a crime scene in the area.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
