A woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing money from a man through a bail scam, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Flor Loveras, 22-year-old, of Paterson, was arrested last Thursday and charged with theft by deception and conspiracy to commit theft by deception.

Loveras contacted a man claiming she is a bail bondsman. She requested money to secure the release of the victim’s son-in-law, authorities said.

The victim wired funds directly to Loveras personal bank account.

She faces a maximum of 10 years in prison if convicted on both charges. She was processed and released after the arrest.
