Paterson man hurt in East 28th Street shooting


On Sunday, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East 28th Street and 8th Avenue following a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival at the scene, the officers found a potential crime scene and a 21-year-old male resident of Paterson, who had sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The victim was immediately taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for medical attention.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the police department has not yet released any further details about the shooting.
