A 21-year-old Paterson man was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting that injured an 18-year-old man in February, authorities said.
Jaquan Wilson was charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The shooting occurred on Feb. 23 at about 12:29 a.m. in the area of 9th Avenue and East 24th Street. Police responded to the scene and found the victim, a Saddle Brook man, with a gunshot wound.
Wilson was apprehended by Paterson police at around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Broadway and Church Street. He is being held in the Passaic County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Wilson could face decades in prison if convicted on the charges.
