Two people hurt in separate Paterson shootings

Two men were wounded in separate shootings in Paterson, according to authorities.

On Saturday at approximately 8:05 p.m., a 20-year-old male Paterson resident was shot in the area of 11th Avenue and East 23rd Street. He was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson with non-fatal injuries.

On Sunday at approximately 6:04 a.m., Paterson Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Main Street and Memorial Drive in Paterson. They located a potential crime scene, but no victim was located.

A short while later, Clifton Police contacted the Paterson Police to inform them that a 28-year-old male Harrison resident was seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound in their town. The victim said he had been shot in Paterson. He was then immediately transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Both incidents are under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
