A man was wounded in a shooting on North 9th Street late Friday night, authorities said.
At approximately 10:01 p.m., police responded to the area of North 9th Street and Belmont Avenue on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene consisting of ballistic evidence. However, no victim was located at the scene.
A short while later, police responded to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center on a report of a 29-year-old Paterson resident seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim told police that he was shot while walking in the area of North 9th Street and Belmont Avenue.
