The police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday night.

At approximately 10:46 p.m., police responded to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson on report of a 37-year-old male Garfield resident seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

A preliminary investigation determined that the shooting occurred in the area of 4th Avenue and East 12th Street in the City of Paterson.
