A man has been sentenced to 44 years in New Jersey State Prison for sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl.

Julio Largo-Veletanga, 67, of Paterson, was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault, three counts of sexual assault, attempted aggravated sexual assault, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and hindering apprehension or prosecution on November 15, 2022.

Largo-Veletanga sexually abused the girl from February to May 2020 in her home in Paterson on multiple occasions.

Largo-Veletanga was sentenced to 44 years in prison on June 15. He will be placed on parole supervision for life upon release.
