Paterson man hurt in Market Street shooting


A man was wounded in a shooting on Market Street early Saturday morning.

The victim, 18-year-old, of Paterson, was struck by gunfire on Market and East 18th streets at around 12:09 a.m.

Police initially responded to report of a shooting on Seely Street and Parkway. They did not find a victim. They later learned the victim had arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

No arrests have been made at this time.
