Four people were arrested and $25,000 cash was seized in drug raids in Paterson and Haledon, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Joshua Sarai, 24, of Haledon; Isiah E. Griffith, 24, of Paterson; Christian Lara, 26, of Haledon; and Richard Earle, 26, of Paterson, were arrested on Monday.
Authorities raided second floor of 10 Mangold Street in Haledon and apartment 1 at 1-3 Garrison Street in Paterson. They also searched a 2018 Ford Fusion.
At Sarai’s residence, 10 Mangold Street, authorities seized a stolen 9mm handgun loaded with 26 bullets, 3 large capacity magazines, 3 pounds of marijuana, 14 Xanax pills, a bottle of promethazine, and $23,000 in cash.
Sarai’s vehicle had 11 ounces of marijuana. He has been charged with 13 criminal offenses.
At Griffith’s residence, 1-3 Garrison Street, authorities seized 12 zip lock baggies of cocaine, and 33 folds of heroin.
Griffith was arrested in Clifton after he allegedly sold 10 Percocet pills and 4 Oxycodone pills to Lara.
Lara, who was arrested for the alleged purchase, was wanted for an outstanding criminal warrant.
Earle, who resides at 1-3 Garrison Street, had 93 folds of heroin, 47 vials of crack-cocaine, 6 grams of raw crack-cocaine, and $378 cash in his possession.
Authorities said the drugs seized has a street value of $10,000.
Sarai, Griffith, Lara, and Earle were transported to the Passaic County Jail pending court hearings, authorities said.
Berdnik said the sheriff’s office and the Haledon police conducted the operation.
