A city man was killed in a shooting on Summer Street early Thursday morning, authorities said.

The victim, 47, of Paterson was struck by gunfire on Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue at around 1:16 a.m.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died at the scene.

Authorities did not reveal the victim’s name.
