A city teenager has been arrested for his alleged role in a triple shooting on Broadway, authorities said.
Police arrested the 16-year-old boy and charged him with juvenile delinquency on Thursday morning. If he were an adult the charges against him would constitute murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Charges against him spring from the October 3 triple shooting on Broadway and Rosa Parks Boulevard. 23-year-old Jerrell Wright of Riverdale died after sustaining gunshot wounds to the chest.
Two others, struck by gunfire, survived, police said.
Authorities said the teen was identified as one of the suspects in the shooting. He is being held pending court proceedings.
