A man has been arrested and charged with murder for allegedly killing another in a shooting on Summer Street.
Jaleel State, 29, of Paterson, was arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with first-degree murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree certain persons not to possess a weapon, and first-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
State’s charges spring from the October 12 shooting on Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue. At around 1:16 a.m., police responded to a shooting and found 47-year-old Adalberto Roman of Paterson with a gunshot wound to the head.
Roman died at the scene.
